Are you suffering from the Shani Mahadasa? If the answer is yes, you are not alone.
Many friends and family members of mine have been affected by this Mahadasa.
When Shani Dev punishes you for your misdeeds, it is time to accept responsibilities for your actions, show some humility and do your time.
Here are some remedies to nullify the effects of transit.
I’m sure you’re asking, why should I pray to Lord Shiva to get relief from Mahadasa? Here is my answer – Lord Shiva is the cosmic lord of Time and the Destructor. Shani Dev is just like him, and they both help you reap the effects of your (good or evil) deeds.
Shiva Puja is the remedy to pacify and please him. Even Shani Graha Puja (Worship of Saturn) asks Lord Shiva to grant relief from karmic punishment. You can be exonerated from Shani Sade Saati (period of 7 ½ years) by chanting 10 mala (10*108 times) with 125 days of the Mahamrityunjay Mantra.
Lord Hanuman is Shani Dev’s saviour. According to the Ramayana, Lord Rama and Hanuman are incarnations of Lord Vishnu and Shiva respectively. Thus, our prayer to Lord Hanuman is, in fact, a prayer to Lord Shiva. Believe me friends, this is the most effective remedy for the Shani Mahadasa.
According to the myths, Hanuman is free from the effects of Sade Saati. Therefore, your prayers to Hanuman will appease him. You should chant the Hanuman Chalisa or Hanuman Stotra on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Chanting it every day can be very effective. Many of my friends use this method and attest to its power.
When you start repenting for your deeds, he will recognize your efforts. Accept your mistakes and approach this Lord with humility. Your prayers for forgiveness will make him be merciful and reduce your punishment.
The Mantra can sing in Vedic or Tantrik style. The Dasharatha Saturn Stotra from the Padma Purana is also an excellent remedy for Shani Mahadasa. It is believed that thanks to King Dasharatha’s prayers (father of Lord Rama), he was appeased and did not enter the Rohini Nakshatra during his reign.
Saturn is pleased when you help charities, orphanages and other philanthropic endeavours and share your wealth, learning, knowledge and experiences. When you work for the benefit of society, you become a better person, and this impresses the Gods.
You should donate black sesame seeds, black buffalos, cows, blankets, urad dal khichdi or even laddus made of jaggery to the poor, orphaned or disabled.
These remedies will give you the spiritual and religious power to appease the 7.5 years of Shani mahadasa.
Saturn, who governs karma, enters your life to teach you a lesson. He brings wisdom, traditions and maturity. During his transition, we reap the effects of our actions and gain insight into our life. He punishes you for bad deeds and rewards the determination and self-confidence during the time of transition.
